This plugin uses non-blocking JavaScript to display facebook, twitter, etc social media sharing counter on posts/pages.
Normally social sharing codes provided by facebook, twitter, etc renders iframes at run-time. These iframes increases page-size and slow-down your website (on client-side).
The power of this plugin lies in non-blocking JavaScript. Normally social sharing links use iframes to output their content viz. icon images, share counts etc. The load time of these iframes block the page load, and hence slow down the site. The slowest is on pages with multiple instances of sharing links (e. g. blog indexes). rtSocial uses non blocking JavaScript to get all the data in one shot, and injects them in the mark-up. And it uses a single sprite with all the images required, hence eliminating the need to load the images from the service provider's CDN. Comes with minimal settings, options to display the links automatically above and below the content, choose FB button styles and layouts. A simple function call lets you to display the links anywhere in your theme!
With just 1 image (CSS-sprite), 1 javascript and 1 css file loaded from WordPress-running server; counts are fetched using AJAX request for sites like facebook/twitter after page loading finishes.

Amazon S3 is a cheap and cost effective way to scale your site to easily handle large spikes in traffic (such as from Digg) without having to go through the expense of setting up the infrastructure for a content delivery network.
Once setup, this plugin transparently integrates with your WordPress blog. File uploads are automatically saved into your Amazon S3 bucket without any extra steps. Once saved, these files will be delivered by Amazon S3, instead of your web host. Any image thumbnails that get created are saved to Amazon S3 too. You'll also find an "Amazon S3" tab next to your regular "Upload" tab, which allows you to easily browse and manage files that were not upload via WordPress.

Extra fields
Two extra fields are inserted into the comment form and hidden from view using CSS. They are to be left empty, and say as much, in order for the comment to pass.
Bots that spam by inserting fake POSTs will not have the required, invisible fields in the POST - rejecting the comment.
Bots that fill in all form fields will automatically fill in these extra fields - the comment will be rejected.
No author website
Comment authors are usually allowed to fill in their URLs. Selecting this technique will only allow comments that have an empty author URL field.
Bots that fill in all form fields will fail this test.
Note that you will need to edit your template to hide the author url input from view using display: none.
